Verity Cullum is a professional marketing leader with 15 years experience within the transport and logistics sector. Spending many years working for a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in both a marketing and customer satisfaction function. She has a depth of industry knowledge, including driving customer experience improvements and managing a comprehensive UK wide branch marketing program.
With a career that has spanned 40 years, Dennis starting selling Isuzu Trucks to sugar farmers in South Africa in 1975.
From there he has set up Unipart Centres across Europe in the 80’s, launched a new Range Rover in the 90’s, established Truck factories in Brazil for Mercedes in the 90’s and developed MAN truck and Bus Aftersales operation from 2005 to 2016 in Europe.
Des Evans stood down in July 2014 as Chief Executive of MAN Truck & Bus UK after nearly 40 years in CV sales and marketing in the UK.
He joined MAN as Sales Director in 1993 and over the following 21 years developed MAN and its UK dealer network as a leading supplier of trucks and buses with a consistent 11% share of the UK truck market. He was appointed Chief Executive in 2004.
In July 2014 he was awarded the Motor Transport, Service to Industry Award and the judging panel said Evans was “probably the single most knowledgeable and accessible CEO or MD in the UK truck industry”. They also pointed to his support for the launch of the Everywoman Transport & Logistics Awards,his backing for the IRTE’s Technician accreditation scheme for workshop technicians and his long-term commitment to overseas development charity Transaid.
He was appointed Honorary Professor at Aston business School in October 2014 and is involved in the development of the Aston Centre for Servitisation Research and Practice.
Born into the industry through the family business, Farrall’s Group, Matthew joined full time in 2009 after finishing college. Working from the ground up he gained experience in all areas of the business, before leaving in 2015 to go to Huddersfield University where he graduated with a first class honours in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (NOVUS). During his time at UoH he worked at companies such as Palletforce Ltd, Hoyer UK Ltd & Clipper Logistics Plc before taking a full time graduate position with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. Soon after he was approached by Gwynedd Shipping Ltd to join their team as General Manager for multiple depots across the Northwest, gaining experience in the steel industry working with TATA steel and another leading pallet network, Palletways. In 2019 Matthew made the decision to return to Farrall’s Group as joint Managing Director with his sister Kat Farrall.

Tony has over 45 years' experience in the commercial vehicle industry, working for DAF Trucks Ltd, latterly as UK Marketing Director until retirement in late 2013, since when he has taken on a consultancy role for several transport related companies. He is also involved with the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight advising on the future development of road freight incorporating vehicle design, transport logistics and legislative influences. He has a wide knowledge of the European truck industry and is well known in the UK road transport sector by fleet operators, trade press and commercial vehicle manufacturers alike.
