Aftersales and Maintenance Provider of the Year

This award rewards either a franchised or independent dealer that has consistently delivered outstanding aftersales service and levels of customer care over the past 12 months.

To win the award entrants need to demonstrate high levels of successful maintenance and repair delivery, long-term customer relationships and bespoke aftersales packages tailored to the need of customers. Judges also took into account initiatives such as longer opening hours and attracting new staff when considering this shortlist.

Apprentice of the Year

This award celebrates the achievements of an individual who is involved in either the technical aspect of repair and maintenance or are working as part of a sales or customer support team as part of an apprenticeship program. 

Entrants into this award should make a significant contribution to their workplace and their businesses should show that they have grown and supported young talent.

Auction House of the Year

The Auction Houses of the Year Award rewards innovation and outstanding achievement over the past 12 months, both in the world of online and location-based commercial vehicle auctions.

Judges were looking for evidence of growing sales levels; auction houses making it easier to buy at auction; and those who have spotted and capitalised on niches in the market.

Bodybuilder of the Year

The Bodybuilder of the Year Award celebrates best practice, innovation and outstanding levels of customer service delivered by a bodybuilder. To win this award entrants had to show evidence of bespoke product design, listening to customer needs and a commitment to delivering a quality product.

Bodywork Innovation of the Year

New for 2018, the Bodywork Innovation of the Year Award celebrates either a bespoke build or a new product line innovation from a manufacturer or bodybuilder supplying to commercial vehicle operators.

Entrants into this award must demonstrate problem-solving, either in an existing product line or of a specific problem for a customer in their innovations. Judges were looking for practical application of the bodywork innovation, primarily through improved customer efficiencies or improvements to health and safety.

Customer Service Award

Inspired by entries in previous years, Customer Service Award new for 2018 recognises those companies with outstanding levels of care, delivery and support for customers. Dealer Principal of the Year

New for 2018, the Dealer Principal of the Year Award seeks to recognise the achievements of an individual that has made a huge difference to a commercial vehicle dealership. They should be someone known for getting results and leading success in either a franchised, independent, new or used, HGV dealership. 

The Dealer Principal of the Year Award winner has been selected by our independent panel of judges and will be announced at the awards ceremony on 15 November 2018.

Technician Team of the Year

This award celebrates outstanding achievement in the delivery of service, inspection, maintenance and repair by a team of technicians at a dealership.

To win the award the teams needed to showcase a deep technical understanding behind the product ranges supported by the dealer and evidence of test lane utilisation rates or delivery rates of manufacturer backed repair and maintenance programmes.

Workshop Innovation of the Year

The Workshop Innovation of the Year Award celebrates an outstanding product, tool or service that has increased productivity; solved problems and improved efficiencies when it comes to maintaining the roadworthiness of commercial vehicles.

To win this award entrants needed to show evidence of business growth as a result of using the product, tool or service; improved customer compliance levels and a supplier going beyond business as usual to meet the needs of the customer.
