Peter Barber started his business with three vehicles in 1970 and has now grown the business to become Milton Keynes’s largest private distribution company comprising of 130,000 sq ft of cross dock and warehousing, with 42 lorries and employing 85 members of staff.

Peter has always assisted the industry, culminating with being the RHA’s National Chairman in 2013/15. 

Charlie Fulk

Charlie’s career in the transport and haulage industry has spanned over 25 years.

The birth of Goldstar Heathrow Ltd in 1998, means that this year sees the 20th anniversary celebrations.

With a team of 175 employees, a fleet of 120 vehicles the business continues to thrive.

Whilst the main hub is located in London Heathrow, he has operating sites in both Manchester and Birmingham.

David Hill

Glass's

David’s previous experience includes working in the LCV and HGV retail marketplace with Ford, Iveco, Renault and Isuzu Truck.  In addition, he also worked at manufacturer level looking after used vehicles with Iveco as well as with other commercial vehicle data providers.

David joined Glass’s in 2015 as part of their industry-leading Commercial Vehicle team working closely with manufacturers, leasing and insurance companies, traders, dealers and auction houses.

He enjoys Football, holidays, and - of course - anything to do with commercial vehicles.

Ian has been the Commercial Director for Mobile People.Powered.Logistics since 2013. In this time Ian has driven the companies transformation from small family haulier, into leading network distribution specialists, picking up multiple awards along the way.

Before joining Mobile in 2010 Ian developed his career working for market leaders in corporate Architecture and project management. 

Matthew Kibble

Matthew Kibble Transport

Managing Director of Matthew Kibble Transport Holdings Limited which encompasses three different transport companies in Lancashire, Warwickshire and Kent. The company started in 1999 with one vehicle and has grown through acquisition and natural growth over the years.

The group runs approximately 78 trucks and employs 142 staff over the three sites. 

Tony Pain

Centre for Sustainable Transport

Tony has over 45 years' experience in the commercial vehicle industry, working for DAF Trucks Ltd, latterly as UK Marketing Director until retirement in late 2013, since when he has taken on a consultancy role for several transport related companies. He is also involved with the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight advising on the future development of road freight incorporating vehicle design, transport logistics and legislative influences. He has a wide knowledge of the European truck industry and is well known in the UK road transport sector by fleet operators, trade press and commercial vehicle manufacturers alike. 

Robert Wilcox

I am Managing Director of Massey Wilcox Transport Ltd, a family Road Haulage and Warehousing Company established in 1954. Based in Chilcompton, Somerset and with rail served warehousing in Avonmouth.

A shareholder member of Pallet Track, and along with our own fleet of 60 plus vehicles and 100 trailers we provide distribution services for our customers throughout the UK and Europe.

As well as being a member company of the Transport Association for the past 27 years and where I recently had the honour of serving as Chairman, I am also a board member of the RHA.

Despite having clocked up 45 years in the industry, it’s remains an intriguing place to be, and I am pleased that I can play a small part in it’s constant development.

Fagan and Whalley Ltd

I have been fascinated by transport for as long as I can remember and it was inevitable from a very early age where my career path would take me. Having took the “modern route” into the industry via Saturday morning work and summer jobs then to University I have since racked up 22 years’ experience with 17 being at my current employers Fagan & Whalley Ltd with whom I am proud to have been involved in our significant growth and development over recent years.

I currently oversee around 240 staff operating 170 vehicles spread over 5 depots and am honoured and proud to have been asked back to be a judge at the Commercial Motor Awards.
